That's why we're delighted to invite you to our next Mini Conference, Building Confidence in Equity, Diversity & Inclusion – For You and Your Organisation, taking place on Thursday 1 October 2026 at St Nicolas' Church, Guildford.

Delivered by experienced facilitator Ali Fisher from Plans with Purpose, this interactive half-day workshop has been designed to help organisations explore Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in a practical, supportive and engaging way.

Whether you're completely new to EDI or looking to build on existing knowledge, this session will help you develop greater confidence and leave with practical ideas that can be applied within your own organisation.

What to Expect

Rather than being a traditional lecture, this will be a highly interactive workshop where participants can learn together, share experiences and explore topics that can sometimes feel challenging in a safe and non-judgemental environment.

Together we'll explore:

• What Equity, Diversity and Inclusion means in practice

• Identity and protected characteristics

• Unconscious bias and its impact

• Micro-aggressions

• Allyship and active bystander intervention

• Inclusive language

• Practical actions to help build a more inclusive organisational culture

The aim is to create a shared understanding of EDI while equipping attendees with tools and confidence to take positive action within their own workplaces and communities.

Event Details

Date: Thursday 1 October 2026

Time: Registration and refreshments will be available from 9:30am, with the workshop beginning promptly at 10:00am. There will be a 15-minute refreshment break during the morning, and the workshop will conclude at 1:00pm. Attendees are then invited to stay for optional networking and refreshments until 1:30pm.

Cost: Free

Places: Limited to approximately 60 delegates – all delegates will need to book free tickets on this site so we can facilitate numbers. Places are free, but numbers are limited, so early booking is recommended.
