Volunteer Coordinator
3 hours per week voluntary
Purpose of the position:
To support the admin process our growing team of volunteers, the Friends of Right at Home, ensure all volunteers are safely recruited and trained and have a warm welcome to the company.
We facilitate a number of volunteer lead services which include weekly community events and a Befriending service.
Key Accountabilities
1. Recruitment of volunteers
● Respond to volunteer applications
● Interview potential volunteers
● Follow safer recruitment processes including DBS checks
● Book volunteer training if appropriate
2. Client (Befriending) onboarding administration
● Respond to client enquiries
● Meet with clients
● Complete Risk Assessment
● Introduce volunteers to clients to ensure no strangers policy
3. Promotion of voluntary services
● Ensure all voluntary services and community groups are updated in local directories
● Send leaflets and information about groups and services to community partners
