Introduction to the Home Safety Check Advisor Service – Now Available in Guildford.

Ellie Hayes is the Home Safety Check Advisor with Surrey Fire and Rescue Service. The Home Safety Check Advisor Service is now extending into the Guildford area. The service is also accepting direct referrals from local residents.

The Home Safety Check Advisor Service supports residents across Guildford and Waverley, with a focus on falls prevention and ensuring individuals are living in homes that are warm, safe, and well maintained. This includes checking for issues such as mould, extreme cold, clutter, and fire risks.

As part of the visit, small essential works will be carried out on the day. If more complex adaptations are needed such as banister rails or half steps, these will be referred on to the Guildford and Waverley Care and Repair Minor Adaptation Team for completion.
