Supporting your community doesn’t always start with a big commitment — sometimes it begins with a friendly chat over a good cup of coffee. That’s exactly the spirit behind our upcoming drop‑in event hosted at Altitude Coffee Bar in Cranleigh.
![]() On Thursday 4th June, from 9:30am to 12pm, residents are invited to stop by, meet the team, and explore the many ways they can get involved in local volunteering. Whether you’re looking to share your skills, meet new people, or simply learn more about what’s happening in your area, this relaxed session offers a welcoming space to ask questions and discover opportunities that match your interests.
Volunteering plays a vital role in strengthening community life — from supporting local charities to helping neighbours in need — and events like this make it easier than ever to take that first step. Even a small amount of time can make a meaningful difference.
If you’re unable to attend but would still like to find out more, you can reach out to Kate at k.jones@vasws.org.uk for information on current roles and ways to get involved.
It’s a simple idea: come for the coffee, stay for the community — and perhaps leave inspired to make a positive impact.
